This has a nice feel to it

I like the percussion alot and the vocals. The pianos could have varied a little more, but a nice melody for it. The bass sound wasn't doing it too much for me, but I'm sure that can be easily fixed. Love the trance melody near the end and how it gradually comes in. All in all, it sounds good with minor problems that can be easily fixed. Maybe sometime I can remix this when it is done. All I would need is the vocals and I could do the rest after downloading it and studying it. GJ and keep up the good work.

4/5
8/10

This sounds very mysterious

I like the chice of instruments and the overall atmosphere of the song. I love the trance sounds at around 45 seconds. Sounds like it could be in something like Golden Eye or something similar (like infiltration or a snow field). I could of heard more variation on the main melody parts later in the song, which is the only thing that I rate low in this.

I'm gonna rate a 4/5 (4.6/5 if possible) and 9/10

Thanks for your review! I like it without variation =].

Why no higher score?

This is one of those awesome tracks that gets no attention. Hate when that happens. Has a good feel and the vocals bring everything together nicely. Soft and edgy at the same time. Havn't heard this song from "Mirror's Edge", so a far rating on the song itself.

8/10 because not finished yet

5/5 to at least get the score up some, otherwise I would rate 4/5.... or 4.5/5 if they had that.

Ubpeat indeed

Very lively and energetic. breakdowns are a good touch. Feels like it is missing something, though I can't think of it right now. It's true Nexus rocks, but it drains computer performance so much that having a kind of cruddy comp. means 1 or 2 max before the skipping commences. Keep up the good work.

thanks a lot!

Has a good feel to it

I keep thinking of an old school RPG remade for ps1 with remastered music when I hear this. I like the drum/pad combo. Nice choice of instruments. I only hate that it is short, but some things in life don't need to be 7 minutes long or so.

dicennian responds:

Thanks for the comment! Old school RPG for PSX huh? Yeah!

Good

Remix time (with permission of course)?

Novarri responds:

It is always remix time. Definitely, I'd be stoked to hear your version of it.

Idea

Why don't I help you finish this one and call it a joint-project? Just PM me about the instruments that you use on it and I'll try to do what I can. I'll keep most of it, but vary the main patern up to make it sound like it's not repeating the same thing over and over. Still don't know what the instrument you use on the lead at 0:07~0:08. I'll add some drums and other stuff and get kickin with it this weekend if you say ok (yay for no work).

Novarri responds:

Pm'd.

Nice, but....

I would vary the videogame type sound alot more or just switch it to another instrument that fades in and the original sound fades out to nothingness when the other lead comes in at about 16 seconds. If this turns out well I may have to remix this one too! If you want I can upload a sample of what I would do so you can see what I mean to give you a better idea (not to mention I could tell you how to do it if you have trouble). Godd job so far though.

Very nice, 2 BIG THUMBS UP!

This is by far your best track. I would have made the last part more epic, but you had a rush job at the end, so it is understandable. Nice on the bpm change and variation on the most part.

Now...... TIME FOR ME TO REMIX IT!!!!!!! Since you liked what I did with Zoneout (which I will post at the very beginning of next year to get a fresh start for tracks for 2009), I will do an even more epic job on this one. You should be proud, now you have a song that shows alot of emotion and effort that you put in it. Now I have to make a theme for me (which I think I may have started already).

P.s.

Thanks for mentioning me in the thanks part of your comment, and remember I am here to help out a fellow FL user. may your music become more epic in the future.

Novarri responds:

Heh, thanks for the compliment - and for understanding. I think I might work on practicing endings and transitions so I can make them awesome in future works, and hopefully make an awesome rush job if I have to do it again.

Also: YESSSSS! I look forward to hearing what you can do with it! I expect it to be epic, but I'm sure you can more than live up to my expectations. Still, though, I don't know if it's possible to get more epic than your Zoneout remix - it's an EXTREMELY epic remix (I mean, to hear one of MY songs sound THAT good is just unbelievable!).

Anyway, thanks a million for the support and the review!

Getting bettter.... AGAIN!

Big improvement on variation, but it could possibly use a different drum than the drum kick thatis there throughout the song. I like the slow part, but it could use a few piano sounds to make the sounds have more intensity. If you have repeating trance sounds with variation at 1:08 (like 16 notes in a pattern repeating with fade in and fade out at different times and echo delays) that would sound amazing.

On a side note, I am done with the Zoneout remix, but I haven't posted it yet because I am waiting til later to post it along with 6 or so of my new works. It sounds good from what my friends have told me, so I think you may be happy with it. I varied a lot of it so it wasn't repetitive and I added an ending to it that brings a lot of intensity to the song.

Keep up the good work!

Novarri responds:

GAH! I need to actually check my songs more frequently. It took me until now to realize you'd posted XD

Thanks, I actually kind of want to edit this song a bit more so I'll make sure to take your advice, see if I can't make it awesome. I might have lost the file, since I had to completely reinstall my operating system, but I think having the need to completely make it from scratch could help it a bit. And now I only have the demo version of FL, for the same reason, so if I do get around to remaking it automation will definitely get included. And I will switch out kick drums.

I'm not entirely sure I get the 16 notes repeating with fade-in/out part. If you could try to explain it...maybe differently? Or if there're any songs that have that kind of thing, maybe you could point them out?

I can't wait for the Zoneout remix, I'm sure it rocks. And I look forward to the 6 or so works you plan on posting it with, too. Dang, I've been waiting for you to update those tunes for forever!

Thanks for the review, can't wait to hear your new stuff.
